2004-05-17 [BarleySinger]: Haven't seen it. Won't until it is out on video (cheep rentals). It is an interesting take on the character from the Stoker Book, but there is really no resemblence. INstead of a superstitious old fart, he is a buff young warrior. It was (to me) another excuse for an action "vampire slayer" flick in an effort to "ride the fad". There have been a number of those. I would rather have had them make a movie of "The Dracula Tapes"....but there wasn't much action in that book. It is the Dracula story from his point of view and paints Dracula as a man who refused to die after a battle, and VanHelsing as a medical quack who nearly killed Lucy.

Or if not, it looks like a "league of extraordinary gentlemen" type movie or "jason vs. freddy" you know what I mean? I think that they are just giving up on making good movies... But... I have heard that Van Helsing has a decent plot. So, I'll probably watch it on video. 99 cent rentals, woo.

2004-05-20 [12 34 56 78 9]: most of the time you can judge a movie by what others say. you just have to know who to ask. like my friends little brother saying 'daredevil' was good *shivers and shakes head* at least i didn't pay for the ticket... now everyone can trust me, I can see through the crap, and if you haven't watched 'The shawshank redemption' then you should. Probably one of the best movies. Morgon Freeman = God (and 'bruce almighty' proves it, heh.)
